Sydney’s tango community is in for an unforgettable evening. Primavera Tango, in collaboration with the Association of Tango Dancers NSW, is thrilled to welcome two world-class artists Maximiliano Cristiani & Ayşe Gencalp, for a Special Workshop & Welcome Milonga right here in Macquarie Park.

Workshop 1: The Art of Tango Connection (This workshop is designed with all levels in mind, that includes beginners to Tango)

Meet the Artists
Maximiliano Cristiani
A true pillar of the tango world, Maximiliano Cristiani is one of the most respected instructors of our time. Known for his charisma, precision & unmatched pedagogical skill, he has spent over two decades guiding dancers toward a style that prioritises functionality, comfort & authentic expression over superficial form.
Maximiliano’s experience spans the full spectrum of tango:

His relentless pursuit of knowledge has allowed him to extract the best from each style & refine it into a clear, accessible teaching method uniquely suited for social dancers.
Beyond teaching, Maximiliano is also a prolific creator. He has contributed to acclaimed tango films including:

Ayse Gencalp
Acclaimed internationally & deeply respected by traditional Argentine maestros, Ayşe Gencalp is a rare example of a foreign dancer embraced wholeheartedly within the Buenos Aires tango community.
Ayşe spent over twenty years refining her art in Buenos Aires, performing with renowned companies such as:
The Roberto Herrera Company
The Johanna Copes Company
Her style embodies a powerful blend of precision, emotional depth, strength & softness, transitioning effortlessly from intimate social dance to dramatic stage performances.
Her achievements include reaching the finals in multiple world championships & consistently placing among the top competitors, a testament to her dedication & exceptional artistry.
Ayşe is also a multidisciplinary creator. As an actress, dancer & choreographer for the award-winning short film Angel, created alongside Maximiliano Cristiani, she continues to contribute to tango not only as a dancer but as a storyteller & visionary artist.
